Sharon Phillips Waxman's professional experience spans four decades. Her company, SPW Productions, has been producing high profile special events for the past twenty five years.
Sharon's experience started in the fashion industry at age 13 when she started her first career as a model. She worked as a fashion model, as well as a modeling instructor, throughout high school and college for clients like Gimbels and Bonwit Teller. During this time, Sharon also began choreographing fashion shows.
Ms. Waxman graduated from Glassboro State College with a B.A. in Communications. Immediately following graduation, Sharon worked for Glamour Magazine as a free-lance Retail Merchandising Editor for six months traveling to major department stores giving seminars on Fashion & Beauty.
Sharon's next big fashion step came right on the heels of Glamour, when she was hired as the Fashion Coordinator for Gimbels Philadelphia. Her responsibilities as Fashion Coordinator included model selection and booking, styling, seasonal forecasts and coordinating in-store fashion and beauty events. Sharon's talents in special events also developed while working for Gimbels where her talents were utilized as the Thanksgiving Day Costume and Make-up Coordinator.
Sharon's entrepreneurial ambitions were realized as Owner/Director of Phillips Models in Philadelphia. Phillips Models, a full service modeling agency, managed talent for fashion and commercial print, radio, television, convention, promotion and runway modeling. In addition, Sharon owned and operated Allure Finishing & Modeling School in Philadelphia. Allure was a private trade school licensed by the PA Board of Education to instruct students in Finishing, Self-Development and Modeling.
After starting a family and closing the modeling business, Sharon became a Special Events Consultant for Synergistic Concepts, where she was responsible for the creative and operational execution of major special events throughout the East Coast.
With the creation of PhashionPhest in 1993, Sharon opened SPW Productions with PhashionPhest as the company's signature event. Now in its' 23rd year, PhashionPhest is the premier fashion and beauty event in the Delaware Valley promoting the retail industry.
SPW Productions produces festivals, parades, ceremonies, foot races, galas, conferences, trade shows, tasting events and fashion shows and provides corporate event management and marketing consulting services. Well known SPW annual events include: Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival, PhashionPhest, Lloyd's Meet the Market, Gary Papa Father's Day Run, Southern Wine & Spirits Portfolio Tasting, Philadelphia Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival, Get in the Game with the Philllies, Moore College's Student Designer Fashion Show, Sandy Sprint, DJ's Available Bridal Showcases, Philadelphia Wine Festival, Wells Fargo Signature Volunteer Day and the Midtown Village Fall Festival.
SPW Productions was the recipient of the prestigious ISES (International Special Events Society) Esprit Award in 2012 for Best Team Effort, in 2010 for Best Event Planner and in 2009 for Best Social Event, as well as the ISES Philadelphia Chapter's Liberty Award in 2009 for Best Event Planner. SPW Productions has also been awarded several Pinnacle Awards from IFEA (International Festival & Events Association.) Sharon was awarded the 2011 Woman of Style Award by Philadelphia Fashion Week and in 2012 the One Night Only Award of Excellence by 17 days of Fashion.
Sharon is an Adjunct Professor at Moore College of Art & Design teaching Fashion Show Production to Senior Design students. She is also a member of the Fashion Marketing Advisory Committee at The Art Institute of Philadelphia. Sharon is an active member of the community and serves on several volunteer committees.
Jacque joined the SPW Productions team in May 2008. She has worked on a variety of high profile, public events including the Midtown Village Fall Festival, Pre-Concert Reception for the Academy Ball, Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival, Get in the Game, Sandy Sprint 5K/10K, Lloyd's Meet the Market, Gary Papa Run 5K/10K, PhashionPhest, Wells Fargo Signature Volunteer Day, Be Well Boot Camp, Southern Wine and Spirits Portfolio Tasting and Philadelphia Magazine's Whiskey and Fine Spirits Festival.
In addition to the planning and production of special events, Jacque prepares informative presentations for clients, assists with coordinating staff and volunteer assignments, scheduling, oversees and manages interns, coordinates social media and provides on-site management at events.
Donna has worked with Sharon Phillips Waxman in a number of capacities since 1984 ranging from modeling to event staff and is grateful and honored to be a long-time member of the SPW Productions team.
Donna brings extensive event experience that allows her to be a self- sufficient trouble shooter with tremendous organizational skills. She enjoys the pleasure of interacting with numerous SPW Productions clients on multiple events throughout the year like PhashionPhest, Get in the Game, Wells Fargo Winter Wonderland, Midtown Village Fall Festival, Philadelphia Whiskey Festival, Cherry Hill Mall's Back-to-School Fashion Shows, Be Well Boot Camp and more.
Ruth Ann Bishop-Sotak: Event Staff
Ruth Ann has been working with the SPW Productions team for more than eight years. She has worked on a variety of events and brings energy, enthusiasm and management skills to them all. Ruth Ann's experience with SPW Productions includes the Southern Wine & Spirits Portfolio Tasting, Gary Papa Run, PhashionPhest, Get in the Game, Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival, Taste of Philadelphia and the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Fund "Sandy Sprint."
Ronald P.Sotak: Event Staff
Ron has been working with the SPW Productions team on various events and projects as a coordinator and manager of various activities within the event. He provides a great deal of knowledge and experience to ensure the events run smoothly. Terry Grabert: Event Staff
Terry has been working with SPW Productions since 2011. Prior to that she was fortunate to have worked under the tutelage of Sharon Phillips Waxman, volunteering for several years at a local school fashion show gaining experience and direction. Terry has been an integral part of the SPW Productions team with the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival, SWS Portfolio Tasting, Get in the Game and PhashionPhest, as well as managing the BIO Conference kick-off reception for thousands.
Nicole joined the SPW Productions staff in 2011 as a Freelance Event Management Assistant. After obtaining her BS in Design & Merchandising from Drexel University in 2000, Nicole became a Visual Merchandising associate for a major department store.
Nicole is currently employed as a Visual Stylist with a luxury brand department store in Willow Grove, PA and is also an adjunct professor with Immaculata University teaching Visual Merchandising.
Nicole provides on-site management for SPW Productions' events including the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival, Moore College Fashion Show, Midtown Village Fall Festival, Academy Ball, Sandy Sprint and DJ's Available Bridal Showcases.
Sarah Rodowicz: Project manager
Sarah joined the SPW Productions team in 2016 as the Project Manager for the 23rd Annual Phashion Phest. Since then Sarah has managed the Antares Vision 10 Year Celebration and acted as on-site Coordinator at Chef's Night for PAWS, the Midtown Village Fall Festival, Jewelers Row Holiday Giveaway Event and the Academy Ball.
Sarah's background is Special Events, Community Outreach and Public Relations. Working with The Fashion Group International (FGI) since 2001, Ms. Rodowicz has worked on their large gala event, Night of Stars, held at Cipriani New York honoring the brightest in film, beauty and design. Other events include the Rising Star Awards for emerging designers as well as a number of business symposiums, timely panel discussions and networking events. Here in Philadelphia, Sarah has served on the FGI Board of
Directors since 2007 and as Regional Director from 2010-2011.
Additionally, Ms. Rodowicz was the Regional Special Events and Public Relations Manager for Bloomingdale's King of Prussia and Willow Grove stores from 2004-2009.

Kelly has been working with SPW since 2016 as a Stage Manager and Coordinator on various events including: Gary Papa Run, Cherry Blossom Festival, Midtown Village Fall Festival, Chef's Night for PAWS and various bridal shows throughout the year.
Kelly worked as our Production Intern throughout the summer of 2017. She will be graduating college in 2022 with a degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting and a minor in Event Planning.
Amy Moore has worked with SPW Productions since 2008. Amy has experience in working on high profile, large scale events such as the Taste of Philadelphia, Gary Papa 5/10K and Phashion Phest.
In addition to on-site event management with the SPW Productions team, Amy also has experience in fundraising events, program management and managing volunteers.
Jamie joined SPW Productions in 2014. Since that time, she has supported exceptional SPW events in various capacities as a part of Sharon Phillip Waxman's management team.
An experienced special events manager, Jamie's project highlights include: the Midtown Village Festival, the Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival, Gary Papa Run, and The Academy of Music Anniversary Concert and Ball.
